Jean Hunn decided to take up painting in retirement. In preparation, she attended courses in Drawing and Introduction to Painting at the AGO school. In 2007, she joined the Palettes of Whitchurch painting group which was then under the tutelage of John H. Smith. She has attended courses on watercolour, perspective and light & shadow by Barry Coombs, portraiture by Kelley Aitken and workshops on various other painting related subjects. She has participated in shows and sales by the Palettes in Lemonville from 2008 on and the Groups of Seven show in 2013 at Studio 51 Gallery in Leaside. She works in watercolours and acrylics.
